Freda Shiel's Uncle Samuel, Early 1930s

Pre-war photograph of Freda's mother's brother, Samuel (Shmiel), an officer in the Polish army from 1931-32. He was killed during the Holocaust. Freda received this photograph from her aunt.  Early 1930s. (USC Shoah Foundation)
